We are two sisters from Westport Co Mayo, with so much in common but who are very different in lots of ways.  Where our styles meet in the middle is where our unique small Irish business was born.

When we decided  to embark on this business journey together we got inspiration from our Mothers name “Nuala”. She sadly passed away in 1999 from a battle with ovarian cancer. Loosing our Mam at a very young age has kept us very close as sisters and also as friends throughout the years.

Endless chats at the kitchen table and Lá Nua was born. We are beyond excited for the possibilities this meaning brings “new day’. And we also comforted by where the name originated from. Both of us know it will always be close to our hearts.

For each candle we sell we will be donating €1 to Ovacare the ovarian cancer community. Their goal is to improve diagnosis and education of ovarian cancer within Ireland.  Our hope is  to play a small part in helping women and their families who have been touched by ovarian cancer.
